Fished with the Mrs. on 5/22. Fished N NW of Gary light in 45-55 feet of water, went 9 for 14 all silver. 8 pd king and 8 coho. Dodger fly on dipseys out 15-25 about the best rod.
Fished 5/23 on my friends boat out of Portage, fished between the doughnut and pavilion in 45-55 feet of water, went 6 for 10 or so. Tough bite for us this day, best rod a 100 copper with a dodger and fly.
Fished 5/25 on my friends boat out of Portage, started in the same area but migrated down to the pink house. It was hunt and peck until we got down to the pink house, then we finished in short order, taking 10 for 15. (2) kings, one very nice, (2) lakers, (1) steelhead, (5) coho. Black and silver spoon down 28-32 were the ticket today. Lots of bait here in 38-48 feet of water.
Biggest tip I can offer is if you find a small pocket of fish, spin and work them, this was true for all three days this weekend.
Good Luck and Tight Lines,
~John
