Fished out of St Joe this morning and ended up 4 for 6. Ran SW to 85 ft and setup at 6:30 am. No action for me until about 8:00am. First hit was a Coho on a slider rigged Pro King spoon over a rigger down 33 ft. Next came a Laker about 6 lbs on a slider UV Stinger over a rigger down 28 ft. Lost a big steelhead on a orange crush spoon down 25 ft on riggger - jumped about 4 feet and waved goodbye. While I was lamenting my loss, another rigger down 48 ft was slammed - a nice King on a craigs flounder moonshine mag spoon. Awesome fight since it decided to see how much line my reel held and actually swam in front of the boat for a while. I'm glad I bought the big net. One more King about 8lbs hit the same Moonshine down 48 ft. and I lost a mystery fish off of a free slider. Most of my hits came in 90 - 105 ft south of the pierheads. By 10:30 the number of flies in my boat outnumbered the national debt so I called it quits and ran back in on the smooth as glass lake.
FYI - The big King had an empty stomach, and I never marked any bait today. Better catch them while there here!
