As a favor I took out one of my dock neighbors grandsons and his friend today. Thanks to Steve (Plane to Sea) for helping me run the program. It was their first time on LM so our target was to get them on trout. We did that but it certainly did not meet my expectations. Mid morning we eventually changed to a full out King program and never took a king bite unfortunately. We ended up with 13 coho and 15 or so lake trout. Not a bad day but I certainly had my expectations higher for both size and quantity. We were out there a long time. I know a few others had a decent day on kings, wish we could have done that :)

We set up due north of the ditch in 70 FOW and worked northwest as deep as 88 FOW. Came back shallower between the ditch and the donut and finished the day off there.

Great to see some new guys get excited about fishing the big lake, disappointed we couldn't get them a king,,,,

Sounds like you guys did great to me! How big were the waves? I was taking the kids water skiing on Pine today and it was blowing pretty strong.

The waves were 2's to start then laid down to 1 foot or less by noon.
