Anyone  jig/cast for coho in the spring? I see ppl doing this and have always trolled. Kinda want to try it this year.

My question is what are you using for bait, lures??
thanks in advance

it depends on shore vs. boat...wind speed ...but, basically any small/medium spoon or spinner or crankbait you can cast a good distance. Generally cover the 4-10ft water depths at a moderate retrieve. Its not rocket science, but more of putting a bait where they are. Ive seen guys throw jigs for them also with decent success. Most of the time its not what your using, its are you where they are.

I was out at Gary Light last Sunday and did well casting silver blade baits or a white jig and white twister tail but I agree with Stag thet its more about being around fish and they will hit almost anything.
