TOPIC:

FINALLY had the first trip after developing a nervous tick from seeing all the coho pics early in the Spring.  Boat was getting a repower and finally got it back.  Reports on Saturday were not great but decided to head north to 65' and keep going towards 3 corners. Of course 65' of water goes on forever that way and after about an hour and half and nada picked up a move to 75' a reset.  Setting 3rd rigger, line in hand, with a Stinger Blue Dolphin 40' back a feel a whack and see silver.  Fish missed and I let go line, came back and nailed it on the surface.  Thought it had to be Steelie or a much bigger than usual Coho given the lure was literally on the surface.  Not a bad King to start the year but unfortunately it was the only fish for the next 3 hours until a Coho hit the 150' Copper with mixed veggie Stinger.
