Headed on a north heading out of MC in 80 fow looking for silver and only picked up a coho and 10 lb steelie in about two hours.  Made our way to the pack around tri state and picked away at them til we had 9 in the boat around noon.  Best rods were dipsies out 40 on 2.5 setting and 200 copper w/ SS blu dolphin.  Big steelie hit buffalo bill on 2 color.  Other than a couple greasers on the riggers we kept up high it was those rods only that hit.  Lost a really nice fish on the dipsy pulling lines.  Dipsies were pulling 8” orange crush spin doctor w/ 2” fly.  Ended 9 for 14 or 15 with most coho but possible king and couple steelies and a laker.  Speed was around 2.6 gps and we did better heading west.  Quality day to be out with the weather and really fortunate to be catching silver in the summer like everyone has been.  Also, need some help on the ID, coho I believe but thought maybe king.

Nice job! Also the fish you think could be a king sure looks like a coho to me.

tge tail is V shaped and the upper jaw is white plus the scales are coming off like a coho.

a for sure way to tell is to look at the tail.
A king will have spots on the top and bottom and a coho will only have spots on the top.

All the clues are helpful but the di-"FIN"-ative way to tell a king from a coho is to look at the anal fin - the fin on the bottom just behind the fish's poop hole.

A Coho AF will be almost an equilateral triangle. The AF on a king will be decidedly not equilateral - all sides the same. The base where it connects to the body will be at least twice as long as the "height" of the fin.  Can miss.
