TOPIC:

First trip out of St Joe this year. Headed out of harbor 280° till I got 110 ft of water. Set up and headed SW. Cold water down about 50 to 55 feet so far so good. First hit was a big  Lake Trout on a green spin dr and fly down 60 ft on downrigger. More Lakers followed on all presentations...I trolled out to 150 ft and wasn't seeing many marks anymore. Hooked back SE and headed back in. Lots of marks between 95 and 110 ft. Lost a real nice Steelie that hit a spoon down 55 ft on rigger. Came straight to the surface and I never got tension on the line before he sailed off. Bad year for me on Steelhead too - premature release again! Hit another fish down 58ft on a Moonshine spoon- nice King finally! Stayed on the glow program until about 10 pm. Had another run right at dark but it came unbuttoned. I think it was another King judging by the initial rip. 
 The launch was manned so I bought another annual pass, and then watched the attendant lock the doors and leave as soon as I pulled away! Bad timing on my  part. Oh well I guess it was worth it!
