TOPIC:

Got out this morning getting on the lake about 7 AM CDT so not a super early start.  I was going to head to the place I was fishing last week but it was about a 20 mile run and with the potential thunderstorms in the afternoon and the lake being a little too rough to run wide open, so we went to the place I had marked previous years.    we started setting lines in about 105 FOW and fished to 130 FOW.   We ended up getting two Coho and a small King.   We also got a small laker and another laker I estimate 7 - 10 lbs that we threw back.    Our best producer today was the 300 Copper with an NBK mag spoon.   We thought we had 3 Coho until we got home for pictures and noticed the spotted tail and black mouth.    We got silvers on the NBK, one on a free slide diver (UV Flounder Pounder) and the other was on a dipsy with Kevin GF spin Dr and KRW Riverside Fly.    The lakers came on the 300 Copper and and 8 color with the orange/white Fub spoon.    The 300 had two other releases, one was a decent fish (not sure if it was a laker or silver) that came undone and the second we are not sure if it was a fish hit or just a false release.    Over all a pretty good day out on the lake.
