I SPLASHED the Duznt Fazer today , for the 2022 Maiden Voyage .  We launched out of 95St. .  We went there thinking the South Winds would push the warmer water up in the corner , along the breakwall .  75 yrds out of the launch , my motor starts shakin and dies . It started up , but when I put it into gear , it would die again ,. Got it going again and LIMPED back to the launch .  I lifted the motor up , and found a 6ft. piece of plastic , wrapped on my prop .  I thought I was having a lower unit prob.  Had to CUT the plastic off . Left again and She ran perfectly . Ran out to the Breakwall and dropped lines . We only got 1 Coho , before the seas built enough to call it . We pulled Cranks , Brads , Dodger/ fly , spoons , and deep diver , set on flat lines and yellow birds .  After the plastic wrap , the boat was perfect .
Water Temp 33.1 to 34.4
Waves 0 to 3+Ft. caps
Partly Cloudy
Winds 5mph and building ,, SSW to S.

Good Luck and Safe Trips

Thank you for the report, a successful shakedown is always good, the fish are secondary.

Those first times in the boat always get my nerves going.  Had a small piece of junk foul the  water outlet on the kicker motor while out and ended up using the big motor and just trolling faster.  Once home pulled the junk out and flushed and now I am good to go again.  Glad you got the problem solved on the water and now have the peace of mind for the next launch.
