TOPIC:

After getting some infor from Angry Saturday about lake conditions, I decided to go ahead and try the shakedown run today after brunch.   Got lines in water about 11:30 AM and started at first light.   we mainly trolled from a little after first light to about halfway between the hole in the wall and the bend.   The main lake was too rough to even consider going out there with my boat and was probably 3 footer shortly after the hole in the wall.    We ended up going 7/7 (6 Coho and one brown) in about 3 hour of fishing.    At one point I had a double going which was fun but with only two people in the boat and lake conditions, one person had to be on the wheel the entire time so it was a bit hectic getting the fish in the boat.   Thank goodness they were all around the 16" size so still manageable by one person.    Best rod was 75' back with 3/8 keel weight running red squiggle Thin fin.  the other coho came on thin fish (one copper and one on chartruse purple tiger) some on 3/8 and some on 5/8.   The brown came on a Coho crusher on a 00 dipsy 10' back.    We had the lake to ourselves which was really nice for spring fishing.
