Got the new rig on the water for the shakedown Sunday. Sure nice to be back on the water. Still have some dialing in to do on the boat prop wise. Did some break in on lake George a week or so ago and the supplied aluminum prop 19p only spun at 5700 and top speed of 40-way below expectation. I threw on my SS 19p High 5 -6000 rpm same speed. The High 5 is a stern raiser so thats kinda exactly the opposite of what I need- I need some lift. I blew in a call to Vics in Ohio as I know they rig these boats successfully and they assured me the Tempest is the prop I need for this hull. I do have one coming in about 2 weeks so fingers crossed. Also have alot of new electronics and settings to get used to. I absolutely love the Carbon 16. My Airmar ducer is too close to my kicker as about 2.3 mph I start getting interference from what I believe is prop wash so I may have to move that to the starboard side. Also blew a Fuse that took out my Sonarhub, 3D and Lowrance Autopilot-that was fun, no spares on  the boat( there are now   )

So onto fishing- we went 4 for 10- lost 3 at the back of the boat which I attribute to my partners wanting to "bass" them in instead of just walking backwards and dragging them into the awaiting net.We started at EC - I originally was going to run an 8 rod spread of 6 thinfins and 2 J-9's. Was talked into running 6 dodger flies 2 thin fins. Only the thin fins took fish . Left EC and went to Gary Light and switched to all Thin fins and red/black squiggles took the remaining fish and hits. So not great production but it was great to get out, and also to work out some gremlins. Heading to Erie Wed. so I think I have the rig about dialed in. Tight lines everyone

I am heading up to Erie tomorrow and will be sure to snap some pics, havent really taken any quality ones yet , i put up the two i have, one coming home from dealer and one of the dash figuring out a spot for the Lowrance[/justify]
