Just want to give a thanks to all of the great members here, there are many fishing sites and pages but I have yet to find one with so many genuinely good people who want to help one another catch fish. Proud to be a member! Went out yesterday, no fog at the house, by the lake it was much more dense. Started out and went towards IH and between there and Whiting at that time, the fog was the worst. Knowing to wait until the fog lifted to enter IH especially with potential vessel traffic including barges, we set two flatlines out with Brad’s ThinFish, one firetiger and one orange/gold with red squiggles. Caught two, first one came within minutes of setting lines and the other took a while longer. Decided to also send one yellow bird out with a Bayrat Coho Crusher in a green, orange/red, and a black paint scheme on it, which also caught another. Fog was moving towards Hammond so decided to get into harbor and wait a while for it to clear. About an hour later, it started to clear and after it cleared enough for easy navigation we went and caught one more at IH before we decided to leave as wind was becoming a little stronger. It’s always better to wait or delay rather than risk anything, if fog wouldn’t have cleared, we would have left and waited to fish in that area another day.

Fog is a game changer for sure, glad you stayed safe and still caught a nice meal.  This is a good site with great info, have not fished the big pond in many years and with a nephew who is eager am trying again and it's sure bringing back some memories.
