Trolled around til about 9 pm. with nothing to show for it. One other boat I believe out there, SEE YA, and I think he went in empty also.

Surface temp was 67.4

Don't fret yet guys. I've been up at ludington for the past 12 days fishing the lower PM river. They have not come in up there with any magnitude yet. Some tricklers, but no major pushes. The skeins are still very tight in the females we saw cleaned. Guess it's going to be a late run, but don't really know why other than the burst of heat we had the week before labor day, and now it's pretty darn warm again. Of course, I have no idea if there will be any kings show up in front of our harbors or not, judging by the lake fishing all year, just may be slim to none.
On another note, we caught a "clipped" hen 8 miles upstream in the Pere Marquette. The PM is a all wild fishery, no stocking takes place there. Looking back, I probably should've kept it and turned the snout in with the micro tag to see where she was stocked, but we release everything in the river, and lord knows we need all the kings we can get, or at least I do, maybe not the DNR.
