Ventured out this morning hitting the awesome wave free lake this morning out of Portage, solo. Went to 50fow out in front of Burns Waterway Harbor. Several boat looping around this area. Kind of weird, didn't graph much of anything, but ended up with 3 nice coho in the well and 4 misses. 1 miss was of course at the back of the boat trying to net it. Before the net hit the water the fish swam away. Ended up snapping my fly off. Good fight up to boat.
Trolled with two orange dodgers one with green fly and the other blue fly. Produced the most catches and hits. Tried brads red with black squiggles and brads watermelon, nothing. Caught one and had a hit on a Berkley Flicker Shad, pink cougar.
Since the lake was still a ripple boated out to the Gary light perch area in the 50fow. Arrived and found seven boats perching. Found perch being caught. Unfortunately I didn't think of minnows in the morning so needless to say just watched for a few.
Boated back to Portage called it a day. Didn't want to leave the lake it was so perfect.

Be safe
