I've learned a lot from this site, really valuable stuff.
I’m fishing a small fundraiser fishing tournament tomorrow.  New to the salmon fishing game. (15-20 trips mostly coho). I usually go out of New Buffalo, But last two trips have been fruitless.  Thinking of heading north to st Joe or South Haven. Partly for smaller wave forecast and partly to try something new.  Looking for some suggestions or starting points.

St Joe I would start 70 fow and go west to 220 fow (doesn't take long there) Fish top 50 feet. I fished there exclusively for about 7 years, its a little different up there vs Indiana. More current, steeper drop offs and low communication can make it challenging.

Its been a few years since I fished St Joe but we normally took a 270 to 300 out of port
