Ran straight north to 140 early. set up same rods as Tuesday. Thermocline on Garmin showing 55-60'. Set up southwest troll. both down riggers popped down 60 got 1 small king on Moonshine Flounder ponder spoon. 400 copper withSalmon candy Songin Green Bam paddle with 50-50 Frog fly went 6 times landed 3 lakers and 16# king. No fish nick dipsy out 175 on 1 setting with Green Marvs big fatty paddle with pickled sunshine fly went 3 times small king and 2 lakers. early 130 to 120 good depth, when sun got up around 830-9am 110 to 90' was better. Nice slick/scum line showed up with seagulls feeding about 3 degrees cooler then surrounding water. 16# king hit on edge of that. Dad helped on 16# king but 10yr old cranked 400 copper with 2 lakers so gets to show off king. Lake settled down great day for middle of August on South End!

Hey Slack57,

Thanks for the detailed report. Very helpful to those of us that have not been out regularly to target the right depth quicker.
The following sentence that you wrote really caught my attention:

Thermocline on Garmin showing 55-60'.

Are you saying that you can identify roughly where the thermocline is on your sonar??
I have a Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 93sv, but have not yet found any setting that will contrast/show the thermocline..... Hell, I'm lucky to ever even mark a fish, LOL... Most of the time I just see where my cannonballs are....

I believe that if u increase ur sensitivity on ur fish finder say norm is 10 outa 20 …. To 15 I believe u can see the thermocline.
