Two of us went 2/3 tonight for a couple hours and took fish NW of R4, one 3-4 lb coho and a 14-15 lb king.  All hits on the 200 copper with Mag moonshine shelly snack.  Not sure why we couldn’t get the riggers going.  Saw a decent amount of nets get dipped and radio traffic made it sound like an alright night.  Some other boats we talked to lost some nice fish.  Our king didn’t peel a bit of drag until he saw the net.  He was head shaking and doggin me to the bottom all the way to the boat until he flipped the switch.  Kinda crazy how they all fight different.  Fish were porpoising in front of the boat too so regardless of temps they’re still around.  Good luck to those going out in the AM and try to keep it organized tomorrow.

We were out also trying to do a repeat of Sunday but could make it happen. Went 0/2 on Kings and also on 200' copper.  Picked up a drum on that as well, nothing else got a bump. Stayed outside the pack, but sounded like everyone worked together pretty well which was great to hear!

Yes, radio comms kept everything in order for the most part.

King was around 15 lbs from my guess but the fin was clipped.  Any thoughts?

Either a "well fed" 2+ fish - one of those that if it didn't mature a year early would have been one of those 20+ pounders which get caught in the spring. Alternatively, it could have been a "stray" fish - one that didn't imprint to it's home stream or stocking point and ended up off of Portage instead of Michigan City (or who knows where). There are probably stats available about how much straying occurs in stocked fish. Ben may know these numbers. Either way, nice fish!
