Started off a little late, found cold water in close again so we started at 60fow and worked out to 100 then back to 75 abd back to 100.

First hr in 85 to 95 fow we had a drum hit a orange jplug on a 150 copper..first for me that far out. 5 min later caught a nice steelie on a mag wire dipsey set on 3 out 135. Nbk green spin doctor and green fly. 10 to 15 min later we hit a 2yr old king on same rig. Stayed in that area all day with nothing more to show. Ended 1130 ish.

King was spitting up small/tiny ales which I believe to be a good sign.

Good looking king. For a young fish it has a great round shape. It looks as if it is getting plenty to eat. I wonder if the alewife population took a bit of upturn this season? Seems a lot of fishermen were and still are saying they see bait in the water. Although I personally am not a fan of the IN dnr , they do nothing for the southern end of the state, maybe up there the plans they made for the stocking cuts may payoff a little by keeping a larger king forage base. If the planets align, the cows come home, and the Cubs win a pendant the dnr will resume regular king stockings. Yea I know, its probably just a fairy tale ending to a sugar plum dream. I want to see this turn around as much as you guys up there do.
