Got out of Michigan City in the hopes to target kings. Extremely slow to start the day with 2 lakers and a coho in the first 4 1/2 hours. Just when we gave the “15 more minutes” we found a nice pod of kings going 4/5 in an hour. And then the next hour nothing. Found our biggest king of the year at 17 lbs. 3 kings came on a 10c with Mag Glow Frog Spoon, and 1 came on a rigger down 50 with a Mag NBK. Fished mainly 50-60 feet of water, with slower being better at around 2.4 mph. Seemed pretty slow out there for everyone else as well, but nice to be able to find that pod of kings to save the day.
