Iowa crew that comes every Aoril to fish every year for several days to fish with me is heading home with a cooler of salmon and trout fillets! From a cold rocky start on Tuesday, (six footers getting to the fishing area and ice freezing on the floor for the first two hours) it was off to a poor start. But the water cleared a bit each day and the catch improved. Plenty of cohos, one brown, 2 lakers and 2 kings in the mix. Plenty of laughs and more venison sticks than I should have eaten. Fished EC the other days. Yesterday started slow but as the dark skies in the morning thinned and sky brightened, the fishing got better. By the time we quit on Friday the action was as good as it gets.
