I decided that me or one of my friends would post all of my trips this year. Bad reports are as good as bad reports. I fished Gary light, lake street wall, cal park inside and outside the walls and took a quick look near the gong. Found the water was slightly cleaner and 43 degrees at the surface and 41 degrees and the bottom. I ended the day 0-1 losing a laker about 30 feet behind the boat. After listening on the radio everyone was struggling catching fish so if u got a couple you had a good day. I will be out tomorrow as well, fishing waters that have not been touched since last year. But what a great day to be on the water. We have been freezing out butts off on every trip. But at least we had a red bord full of fish.

I'm heading for the Gong on Monday. Time to bring out the lake trout rigs.

I'm thinking of heading out that direction Monday PM.....looking specifically for lakers....I might try 80ft of water first though....
