Used them for the first time today, first fish was a missed strike but snagged him in the belly and the clip released fine, 45 min later went to reel in that rod due to lack of action took a little muscle to get it released and I had coho on the whole time...... If anyone runs these do you know how many turns off tight you run? I'm at 2 full turns it seems like it opens light to my hand but obviously not.

I run them - always have. You have to adjust by feel. During coho season they are set very light. When I am offshore in the summer I set them tighter. I would not base it off of number of turns. Take the time to pull it out of the release and note the force required. I have caught perch nearshore and had them release no problem. Just have to adjust for the conditions and baits you are fishing.

A phone call would probably do justice. PM me and I will shoot you my number and we can have a chat.
