I have had my wire Dipsy rods and reels for a while . They have not seen much use just installed the twili tips on them and they worked fine. My question is what is the life of 7 strain 30 Lb wire? Thanks Rudey

Forever in my opinion - as long as its not damaged. Probably want to redo the knots a few times per season just to be safe.

I have to agree with jeff. My wire line is about 5 years old now and I have no problems. I use them every trip out and I’m out about 30 to 40 times a year.

Thanks Jeff & Bill , just started using it on my 124 Dipsy diver without any problems. So they may see a little more daylight than setting in the shop. Rudey

Wire sucks and probobly only good for one season so if you want me to take them off your hands to give you more space for something better I will sacrifice some space :D

Just kidding - I love my wire lines and have had great luck with them. Bill and Jeff have a lot more hours on theirs I am sure but I have no issues with mine so far and mine were bought used and no idea how old they are.

Thanks BigEdV, I’ll keep you in mind when I’m ready to get rid of them. The only issue I have had so far was the last time out I had the drag a little to loose and it creeped out on me. So mark that one up on me and add it to the watch list. Rudey
