So I’ve been fishing Lake Michigan for over 8 years now and I absolutely love my dipseys caught just as many on them as I did off my rigers... so this year I switched over to slide divers the bigger ones without the added ring. And I’ve been out maybe 6 times on the lake and have not had even a single strike on them!!! I run one on a 3 setting and another on a 2 setting have tried multiple lengths different lures and I just cannot get them to fire at all!!!! Any suggestions?? I usually run them 30-70 feet out in the last month

I havent used slide divers, but I will say that overall my divers in general have been pretty slow this year.

A spoon on a 1 setting out 55 to 65 has been my best for big fish in the last week. Out 25 on a 2 setting with a dodger and a peanut was a coho magnet earlier. I run the bait 35 to 40 feet behind the diver, at least. I use the ring.

There are says where it seems they want the diver closer to the lure. It seems at times they want the turbulence off of the diver.

3 setting 65 to 80 out has taken my only kings. Nada on riggers. Haven't run my wire dipseys. Took a bunch of cohos and a steelie back in April 25 out. I run at least 50' behind. Fishing is funny.

I ran my divers on 1-4 setting 20-60 feet out all season!! Never got a release or strike or anything!! Then I ran one of my dipsey one time and got two strikes and one steelie!!! I got the slide divers thinking that they would be killer for fall staging Kings however after this spring n early summer I’m not sure how much more I’ll be running them!!
