Working midnights tonight I'm going to try it out for a few hours in the morning since the lake looks like its going to lay down. Haven't been out in a while don't know if anyone has had a chance to sneak out and if they remember what the water temp was so I know if I should even attempt trolling or just bring my bass gear and see if I can find some early small mouth. Realistically I'll just cruise my brand new kicker and give her some break in time.

Thanks,
Jums

For future cases when someone hasn't been out recently, or you want to find out on short notice, there's a lot of great resources

Now that the buoy is in, you can see the temps top to bottom in 60 feet of water near the state line

greatlakesbuoys.org/station_page.php?station=45170

You can see estimated surface and bottom temps lakewide here
www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/glcfs/glcfs.php?l...ext=swt&type=N&hr=48

And if it has been clear, you can see satellite measured temps here. If the background is gray or black, that's because clouds affected the temps and it shouldn't be taken as face value. Only believe the temps when the background is white

All of that info is available via various menus on this site as well. See the Menu at the top of the page.
