Yesterday my wife and I traveled up to ST. Joe area. Wish I had thought to take a camera. Up at the dam, the water is at a flood stage that we have never seen before. The park close to the dam is totally underwater. the dam itself is spewing water out shooting like it was coming out of a cannon. Trailers are cut off with flood water. Tried to back road it home and many many roads were blocked off.
Heading south today to take a look and see what it looks like in pulaski and starke counties.

It has been terrible. 3/4 of our marina was submerged. If they had to release more water from the dam to hold its integerity (which was an option) then all of our boats would have been in real danger. I feel terrible for the area and the buisness on the water because that is their life. Bars, resturants, marinas, charters all of it. I know the guys at Eagle Pointe harbor (marina I use) are working hard to access the damage and clean up. Hoping we don't see that again for a long time. Here is a video of some of the flooding. The marina shown is Eagle Pointe.
