Fluorocarbon for a leader, sure. There's no advantage to F-Carbon as the main line but there would be much more expense. If the fish is smart enough to see this weird little disk zipping through the water with some kind of lure struggling along behind it, be tempted to snack on the lure but suddenly decide to be off put by the line ahead of the diver, he's too smart for me to catch. I'll fish for the dumb ones.
