Starting to get the itch, might as well start organizing and thinning out the spoon selection. If it hasn't been in the water for 20+ years, I thnk it might be time to set it off to the side.

Took probably 5 hours, but hooks are sharpened or replaced, about 80 mulltiples were pulled out, and the rest reorganized. I really ought to get a spoon box.

Now it's time to start respooling and retying rods.

Just an idea-consider buying some UV tape, different color ladderbacks, eyes, etc. to try to put some life in some of your old spoons. A couple of years ago,  I modified some of my older spoons and made a few winners out of them.  You might be surprised what adding a UV ladder back does to an old Pro King.I did the same thing with some of my flashers.  For $4 in tape you can recreate a flasher into some popular patterns as most of these manufacturers appear to all be getting the tape from the same places.  Considering the cost of new spoons/flashers it was worth it and it was also kind of a fun winter project.

That's a really good idea, I had updated just the reflective tape and changed up some of the patterns on my old Lurh Jensen dodgers, but it didn't even hit me to buy glow tape. Off to ebay!
