What’s anyone’s thoughts on fishing Friday after the big blow yesterday? Is the lake all muddied up on the south end? Thanks for any  advice.

Should get a good idea from the satellite images when they update Today, it’s nice and clear out. I know we’ll be on the water either way.

So I called tackle haven. He told me they got them in 260’ today. He said the guys started today in 160’ because that’s where the fish were and trolled out to 220’ without a bite. They picked up and moved out to 240’ and didn’t get a bite until 260’. He said they got a king, two lakers and some coho.  I asked about in close and he said it’s no good. He said it’s too stirred up. He said they got pounded by west winds for three days with 10’ waves. He said you know it’s bad when there are whitecaps on the river. The MODIS imagery shows that.

We fished out of Michigan City yesterday 25 to 35 fow. Went 3 for 6. Flatlines, dypsi and downrigger took hits. All coho. One had a smelt in his mouth. All three had smelt in them. We took one big screamer on a downrigger. It ran like crazy then all of a sudden was gone

Flatlines, dipsy, and riggers took the hits. Green was the color again.

Water was very dirty or milky.

I trolled into 9 fow and out to 60 fow but the bait fish and big fish were in 25 to 35 fow. Everything had a hit, dipsy, downriggers and flatlines.

I was thinking that the bit would be later in the day since we had a full moon but that wasn't the case..

We launch at Washington Park, went fishing, came back in, loaded to boat and pulled out and I put my brakes on to make the boat come forward on the trailer. I repeated for a second time but this time my brake pedal went to the floor. Managed to get to the parking lot and proceeded to call places to see if they could fix it. After 10 calls my son found a place. I called Howard's towing and he took me and the truck to Brian's auto repair and they got me right in. Replaced the broken brake line, new fittings, brake fluid and purged the brake and had me out the door in 30 minutes! Great place if you ever need service while in Michigan City

Just glad it happened after I pulled the boat out and before we headed down the road traveling 65 mph!
