Many of you know I write a Gear Review column for Great Lakes Angler magazine. It's a simple concept, I obtain new or interesting items I think Great Lakes fishermen would find useful, give them a try and write my impressions of how well they perform in the "real world."  Not every product I try out "makes the cut."  Some are worthless, some don't measure up in some other way. Some companies are eager to basically get "free advertising," others are reluctant.

thanks for sharing this, have you tried any of their summer shirts? Do they protect you from the sun?

They look great and I see they have some pretty good prices on them.

I love their summer stuff. Actually, I stopped wearing Tee shirts or short sleeve shirts three or four years ago in favor of the performance cloth shirts from Gill - Huk - and other companies. I get the sun protection without any sunscreen and I stay cooler than I would otherwise. Those shirts wick any sweat away and in so doing, the cloth actually cools my skin as the sweat evaporates.
