43rd annual Classic is May 6-7, 2017 in Michigan City.
2017 Rule Changes include;
- additional one hour of fishing each day (6 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
- daily limit reduction to five fish (3 lakers) in the Amateur and 24U divisions (Pro division remains at 10 fish (5 lakers) per day).
- Second Day Contest is winner-take-all in each division
The usual stuff:
-Slip rental at Washington Park Marina (one right turn and 65 seconds to the open lake) is reduced to $10 per night from April 15 through May 8 for contest entrants.
- First place pay-outs are $10,000 (based on 30 boats) in the Pro division, $2,500 (20 boats) in Am and $1,000 (20 boats) in 24U.
- Basic entry .fee is $500 Pro, $300 Am and $100 24U. 100 percent (or more) pay back of entry fees is expected, as has occurred for many years.
- Additional HCC spring events are the April 29 Pro/Am (5 fish limit, $100 Pro/$50 Am entry, 100% payback) and May 5 Hartman Memorial (5 fish, 1 division, $50 fee, 100% pay).
