You will do great :)

Were up to 8 boats or so out of portage now. Great weather for this weekend for a change.

Congratulations on your big win jeff. I’m still dumbfounded that I choked so bad I could not even catch a 7 lbs lake trout to seal the deal for the win yesterday after catching that bruiser king Saturday.
These pictures were all from Saturday. Sunday we weighed 2 small steelhead and a coho :(

Thanks Bill.
I am dumbfounded every time I struggle for no good reason too.....It happens, quite often more than I prefer unfortunately. Once we have 20 years of experience we can feel bad about those things, until then we can get frustrated, learn from it, perfect our craft, and enjoy that overall process. Without the tough times, the good times wouldn't be as gratifying.

Well being my first tourney as the captain [edit] second as capt [/edit] and only third tournament ever - I dont feel too bad. I also thought we were limited to weighing only 2 Lakers so my plan was to target them on Sunday but unfortunately I bent my prop and just couldnt do another day of the heat so one day of fishing. Only thing I feel bad about is losing the nice king right at the end of the day Saturday. Over all it was a decent day and was a fun competition although I couldnt stick around for all the weigh ins like I would have liked too.

Now that I have the rules straight and getting my stuff together - I am hoping for better results in July.

Congrats Jeff and Bill on your wins - it was tough conditions Saturday and Sunday.

What happened to the prop Ed?

Not sure - must have been a submerged log or something and ended up bending one of the prop blades (aluminum prop) and busting the transducer off my older fish finder. I wanted change to a Stainless Steel prop anyways so it was not horrible but I had a pretty bad vibration until I got up on plane, so didn't want to run the boat Sunday and end up causing lower unit issues. I should be able to get the Aluminum one fixed after vacation so will have a spare for the future.
