Went back home to visit gods country (Newton County) and decided to drag my boat to see if slough gills are hot yet.... they are... battled winds but still got a nice cooler full just 3 short of a one man limit but I lost count what was in the live well so I figure better call it a day I'd rather be a little short than over the limit.

Nice Bluegals. That's what I called them until my dad said they are called bluegills. He was the one that told me they were bluegals in the first place. I think I was around 14 when he told me the truth.

Those are some nice slabs. Been a few years since I fished out there. Thinking I should make the trip soon. On a side note, I started carrying one of those clickers in the boat for keeping track of fish numbers. It's still tough to remember to do when the actions fast.
