Gorgeous place to go but have not been down in years. Caught the biggest crappie of my life there, just a hair over 19" during a bass tournament near a downed tree on dropoff with a crankbait. I need to get back there some time.

I love Lake Shelbyville. When I was in school at Eastern Illinois I spent a lot of time chasing walleye and crappie there. The crappie population is awesome and can be found anywhere from the middle channel to one of the 100 coves.

The spill way is a great area to fish with or without a boat also.
