Spent 9 days on the Barbee chain again this year, brought back about 250 gills and perch, great week with the family. Nice area to fish.

Did you try for Muskie? Just curious as I hear there are quite a few in there.

No, I'm not set up for the big toothy critters, but my wife and I did watch a guy catch a 40"er by himself, that was something else!! I bass fish some, pretty much a pan fish guy.

Nice job Jt. I never have been there but I'd like to next year. Couple questions- Where did you launch? Where did you stay,VRBO,motel? Can a bigger boat get under the road going from Big to little Barbee?
What lake did you get the majority of the panfish from? I don't need a honey hole just a gentle nudge in the right direction :) Also what's the best Bassing lake? Sorry so many questions and I'd appreciate any and all help.

I have a 17 ft. Lund, I can launch on little barber by the old marina, depending on the size of your boat you might have to go to Kuhn lake launch, I've not been there, we found a rental house on vrbo, they run pontoons under the bridge, again not sure how big your boat is, mine has plenty of room above, like 8 to 10 feet. S far as fishing, we fished all over, depending on the time of year you go but we concentrate on the weedlines and drop offs on all the lakes, and if all else fails watch the locals in the small boats, that's the best info I have. Hope it helps.
