Headed out to North Star Lodge for a week in Ontario. 3.5 hrs north of the border, not a bad ride. The crew at the lodge was awesome and always had our boats fueled up and dinner/breakfast ready. The fishing was just as good. The lowest amount of fish I caught in a day was 35 with the most around that 50 mark. Weather was up and down but fishing stayed strong.

The smallies were on fire the first couple days and I caught around 30 of them smallest 16 inches and largest 20 (5lb pig) all fish were quality size. Fished them with a bobber and leach.

The Walleye were on fire the whole trip and shallow. Trolled a bay 5 to 7 feet deep with J9's and slayed them all morning and day. Had a new j9 when the trip started that now looks like its 30 yrs old haha! Jigging worked well in the deeper holes too. Average Walleye size was 18 to 23 inches. Largest 2 were 28.5 and 26.

Caught about 50 perch 9inches to 15 inches trolling J9s for walleye.
Caught a Goldeye on a J9 (thanks Ben for the ID)
Pike: snake pike were all over with some big ones in the mix. My largest was 33inches. Group largest was 37inches.

Overall amazing trip with the family but boy am I sick of driving. haha Back to the Salmon game!

Some really great fish! Catching those monster smallies in that current had to be fun. Did you see any moose or bears? I make a lot of trips to Eagle Lake. Absolutely love Canada.
