Took a quick trip to Florida last week. One day we were 68 miles offshore. The "fish of the day" was this African Pompano - rare in this area - and large enough the captain photo bombed my hero shot. Excellent on the table and they pull very hard. They aren't very thick so I would guess the weight was around 20 pounds.

The boat was a 36' Contender and it cruised at 50 mph.
