TOPIC:

Went to Erie for the second time with a group of guys including Irish Prince from here. Last year we never got out due to high winds and bad weather and this year was looking iffy this year as well. got out Thursday mid-day and it was a bit rough but we managed to get the job done with 3 boats getting a limit. Second day was even worse waves, after a few ours battling the waves and wind we ended with one boat having a limit, and two other boats about 3/4 limit. Saturday the lake and weather cleared so fishing was on full force. I thought the south end of Lake Michigan was horrible until I saw the fleet of boats on Lake Erie!!! Fishing was decent in the morning; one boat got a limit in under 2 hours, another boat ended with a limit a couple hours later. Unfortunately the boat last boat was the one I was on and we ended one fish short of a limit. fish had scattered, the lake went flat and the temp changed so after not making fish for over an hour, we called it a day. It was an outstanding trip over all and fun with a bunch of great (crazy but great) guys.

Yes it was Turtle creek. My first time actually fishing Erie - may be going back in two weeks for a day trip

Very nice ed. That’s one thing on my bucket list. I have yet to fish a day on Lake Erie for eyes.

It was fun but hoping I didnt miss the best king action in years for it. Although they guys said Erie was especially good this year too so maybe its just the great lakes are on a really good year. Lets hope for another mild winter if this is what it produces!!

Looks like fun! I’m heading there in a couple of weeks hoping to get some limits.
