A short trip to Cocoa Beach after the fishing convention in Orlando yielded a limit catch of mangrove snappers for my wife and myself. She's not a trolling fan so setting under one of the bridges with a basic hook, line and sinker rig had her happy! Mangroves fight about like a smallmouth. Had to wade through a bunch of dinks to get to the keeper/eating sizes mixed into the schools. Took a few of the filets to SquidLips and they did a cook and catch for us!
Looking forward to getting home, reassembling my broken (now repaired) boat and getting back out on the lake.
Capt. Mike
