Found out I'm going up to the Traverse, MI area this weekend. Anyone have intel on what's hitting? Not sure I'll be able to take the boat.

Any charter recommendations?

Boardman river runs right through town if your into some river fishing. Could even be entertaining to just watch as well.
Think theres some casting options as well where the river dumps into the bay.
Cant help much on lake options.
For a real side show, take a little trip down to the betsie at homestead dam and watch that s*!t show for awhile.

You might want to hit fish town in Leland, MI. Tons of charters there. Not sure what the chinook is like there though as I have never looked into it. Darn pretty area though.

I will be in Frankfort this weekend where in the Traverse Area will you be? or send me a PM with some contact info, I am headed up tomorrow after work and should be at the marina about 5ish.

I'm pretty sure we'll be near Bellaire? About halfway between Charlevoix and Traverse City. That looks to be about 90 minutes from Frankfort. Headed up after work Friday. I still haven't gotten our full itinerary.

Ok let me know when you find out I will be in Frankfort around 5, my son has been up there for a couple days and has had action from the pier and in the river. I am not to familiar with that area as far as rivers and charters go but could find out I have a couple friends that know the area. Most of the guys I know from up there head towards Manistee and Frankfort this time of year but there should be some fishing around Grand Traverse Bay I would think but not so sure farther north I do not think there is much stocking that takes place north until you get around the corner into Lake Huron.
