Spent 3 days last week at Lake Erie. This was our 4th trip in mid Sept for perch on same charter. The first 3 years we caught 435, 450 and 450 perch. This year we caught a total of 4 perch. Traveled about 28 miles from West Harbor to north of Pelee Island at the edge of shipping lanes fishing humps in dumping grounds. Water was dirty from 7 ft waves over the weekend. After 5 hours of fishing and 1 perch on 2nd day we quit perch fishing and tried for walleye. After a 80 minute drive back we ended up a 1/2 mile from the boat dock in 8 to 20 feet of water out of West Harbor. Fished a couple hours and caught 18 walleye and the next day fished same water and caught 14 walleye. The 3rd day the sun came out around 10 am and shut down the walleye fishing.
