Took some time out from the big lake for a return trip to the Little Jackfish River which flows into Lake Nipigon. Walleyes are thick there. Actually, they coat the bottom of the river. I would guess a guy could catch a couple hundred a day if he wished. Most are 20 inches, give or take. Biggest for the week was 28-inches. Saw moose, bear, grouse, beaver, pelicans. Fried walleye, smoked walleye, grilled walleye, poached, steamed, baked, walleyes and eggs for breakfast and walleye seviche. Had to eat a lot since the possession limit is the daily limit - two.
