Went to the Smoky Mountains a little over a week ago on a family vacation. Did alot of fishing too - in Pigeon Forge and up in the mountains. Unfortunately I did not really get any pictures since my phone was in a ziploc most of the time as I was trudging through streams.

I caught alot of fish - mostly rock bass, smallmouth, rainbows, and browns. There are definitely plenty of fish to catch out there but they are all SMALL. After being considerably discouraged by the size of fish I was catching I talked to the DNR. Average rainbows are 6-8" they say.........Biggest fish was a 13" smallmouth.

I got a ridiculous amount of exercise and the surroundings were gorgeous however. We managed to see one bear and drank alot of moonshine ;)
