I'll be in Ludington next week. Haven't gone there for four or five years. Wife needs some blueberry picking. Will have the same crew as in Racine last week. Anyone have any recent tips or fishing reports, let me know. Caught the biggest coho of the year last week in Racine, let's see if we can boat the biggest king of the year next week. Only have to beat 28 pounds! Doable.
Stopped going because the fishing petered out. It's probably not much better, now, but it's a great "fishing town." Fun to be in a community that recognizes the importance of a fishermen and welcomes them.
Any other Southenders heading there next week, let's keep in touch.

Good luck Mike. I hear all the Kings are on that side of the lake so go get them. Set your alarm early!

Also hit Scottys one evening for some
Perch or Prime Rib. Good restaurants.

And don't forget to get some ice cream from House of Flavors - I recommend the Tennessee Toffee. Ditto on the fishing town attitude. I always feel welcome when I go there.

Went 7 for 10 just south of the pier heads in 70 to 80 ft this morning. Mostly plugs and meat. Temp was about 50 down.

Good going. We waited out the storm and for us, the bite was over by the time we launched. We probably went too deep. Are you still up here?

It's definitely a morning bite, here. Not surprising. The kings we've caught are all darkening and not feeding any more. Ready for the run. Whether here, in Wisconsin or back at home, if you need sunscreen, you are far past the prime time. Most reports are, "we caught (pick a number less than five) in the dark or just after sunrise, then nothing.,,.

Still, a fun vacation.
