Day 3 plan was for Yellowfin Tuna as one of the targets for the trip. Knocked out the sailfish, Roosterfish, and Cubera Snapper. Look for birds on the radar and then Spinner dolphins pushing bait and underneath them are the tuna. Move past the push of dolphins then drop live baits on free spool and hold on. Not the biggest but kept us busy.

Knocked out six and moved to our next quarry of a Mahi and Marlin but not in cards.

Great looking tuna. My favorite size. The big ones wear you out.

Surprising about the mahi. Those are usually by-catch when you are fishing for most anything. They are my favorite salty fish. Get a nice bull 25 pounds or better and enjoy the fun - runs, jumps - they do it all and no shame about putting the knife to it at the end of the trip.

Different from the Atlantic on the Mahi where weed lines are common. In the Pacific, virtually no weed lines or much cover so they are cruising open water like everything else. The few pieces of debris we did find would be full of about everything fishing in the Keys but hit or miss it seemed in the Pacific.
