Four of us fished out if Catawba Island on a 30 foot charter all 3 days east of Pelee Island (19 mile trip). Ohio water was muddy out to 7 miles
Tuesday left marina at 6 am caught 14 fish quit fishing at 9:30 am due to waves. Took 2 hours to get in 6 foot and 7-foot waves. Wind forecast mph and direction was off. Other charters (about 50) quit at 10:30 am. We took on a lot of water, had to stop at Kellys Island and used portable spare bilge pump. Other charters had same issue, one carter found a penny in the bilge intake. Trip back was not fun. Check your bilge pumps.
Wednesday and Thursday left at 6 am and limited out by 11:30 am. Casting spinner worm harness with1 ounce. weight. Fish came on 6 count in 27 feet of water and 2 feet from bottom. Only 2 throw backs. Most of the fish 22 to 24 inch.
