Used to hunt in South Dakota every year. Life happened, old age happened so grasping for a thread of lost youthfulness and buoyed up by a son-in-law who became bitten by the duck hunting bug, here we are. Reliving the thrills of decoying birds, the sounds of distant ducks, the smell of the mud, the chill of water down the waders and all the rest. Many things have changed, many remain the same.
