It was cold cold and cold this morning. The deer did show themselves today. Saw a lot of does and smaller bucks.

The pictures from daylight is mine from this morning and the pictures in the dark is my daughter in law with her dandy she took this evening before the rain hit.

Great job. No antlers for us this weekend. We did fill 2 thirds of our bundles though. I'll go back later this week. Still time.

Very proud of my daughter in law. Sammy made a 200 yard open field shot. My son Jim and his wife went to the other side of the farm over looking a large cut bean field. They said they watched 3 different bucks with around 20 does all running around chasing. Then the action in the field stopped and Jim said the big buck came out and in a short time singled out one doe. He pushed her around and then climbed aboard and did his thing. Then he started pushing the other bucks out of his group of does. As he circled around he worked himself into a spot closer to Samantha, she steadied up using her shooting sticks and let one fly. My buck fell dead from fright as he was out about 150 in the corn looking dead on with the wind blowing right to him and the doe he was with. Snapped his neck and that was his ending. Every one saw bucks and does,, we were the only two that got on the score board.
