Ever have a problem with your electronic digital scale? I thought mine was going bad because I was getting inconsistent tare readings and some poor charge weights. I called RCBS customer service to get it worked on and to my chagrin they don't make or service my scale anymore. Great I said and looks like a new scale is in my future. 
The rep said hang on did you try a new battery? Yep. No stray wind currents? Nope. I am thinking I have just ran out of options when she asked me if I had some no cling dryer sheets. I'm not doing laundry, I am hand loading some 44 mag rounds for my M44 I am thinking. I tell her yes and she them told me to wipe down the scale and all the parts that attach to it with that dryer sheet. Really rub on it. Then leave a half sheet under the scale in its storage box. Seems these scales are prone to static electrical charges and must be removed on occasion. The dryer sheets are the way.  I hung up and thought what a maroon.
Well guess what? My scale now works like new and has an April fresh scent to it. Give me a bunch of bananas and call me a monkeys uncle that trick fix works.

Never too old to learn new tricks. 

Awesome! When I worked in the chem research lab in college, we used Static Guard spray on our anylitical balances to help combat errors in measurements. I keep it in my shop now to spray my face shield when it starts collecting dust.

I'd imagine that it will help with pouring and transferring finer powders as well.

Good idea on the spray on static guard. Probably will work better and not need  a sheet left in the box.
