Well day #1 is in th books. What a crappy morning.

Morning was very slow for us with some movement but not much really going on. One of our guys had a nice 8 under his stand but not big enough for opening day.

The 11 pointer I had pictures of got shot on the next farm over. Sure wish he had made it one more season. Any body else do any good?

It was very slow for us too Ed.

Same for us. I only saw a doe with 2 fawns. Had to look close to tell which was which. Let them walk. That was Sat AM. Afternoon was full of rain/sleet for us. I was trying to get out between the stuff. Sat for about an hour before I called it. Nothing seen. My son was on the other side of the farm I did have a shot at a nice 10pt with a drop tine. Must have been buck fever. Maybe I'll get a shot at him when I get back later this week.

Well 2 or 3 days of hard work and I'll be ready to fish again. I was lucky Friday afternoon. Got in stand around 3PM est. At 4:15 had a nice doe walk out to my west. So she went about a 100 yards and ended up next to a tree. Then an hour & a half later I saw a buck walking along the field edge. I lost him due to the heavy cover. Finally I heard noise behind me and when I looked it was a nice buck. So for the forth year in a row I was lucky enough to bag 2 deer with only 2 shots fired.
